Soie de Lune’s silk threads are handwoven, to uncompromising standards for curtains, cushion-covers, upholstery and household objects.

They are the masterwork of French designer, Anou Thammavong and his dedicated team of weavers based in Laos, Southeast Asia, who weave his designs into individual works of art.

Using rich colors drawn exclusively from vegetable dyes, Anou harnesses this ancient art to create subtle hues. His shimmering silks gave rise to the company’s name, Soie de Lune or moon silk.

We weave our silks using high quality threads from Thailand. Time ticks by as the silk is prepared for weaving, using an ecologically friendly process that has not changed in centuries.

Soie de Lune works with many of the world’s most renowned interior designers in the USA and in Europe. The company also weaves silk for the Hermès home collection. In addition, we design and create a collection of scarves and kimonos for the Japanese market.
